A vineyard legacy held in your name

We acquire established parcels of Loire terroir and place them in your hands on a twenty-five-year exclusive lease, from a single row of vines to a full vineyard plot. A contracted French winemaker tends the vines and vinifies the fruit, season after season.

  • 01A twenty-five-year exclusive lease, granted at the scale you choose.
  • 02Established terroir in Bourgueil, Chinon, Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Saumur and Anjou.
  • 03Vinification by a contracted estate winemaker, from harvest to bottling.
  • 04Full ownership of the wine, in your name, upon bottling.

8 Questions

Considered answers

Do I own the vineyard, or lease it?

Both arrangements are offered. Outright ownership places a defined parcel into your name. A lease grants you exclusive use of a row of vines, and the wine it yields, for a twenty-five-year term, without the obligations of title. Our concierge will help you choose the form that suits you.

What happens at the end of the twenty-five-year term?

The lease may be renewed, allowed to conclude, or, where the estate permits, converted toward ownership. We write to you well before the term ends, so the decision is unhurried and entirely yours.

Who tends the vines?

The estate's own vignerons. Each parcel is farmed, pruned, and harvested by the resident team in the Loire, to the standard the Court of Adjudicators expects. Your own involvement is a matter of preference, from a quiet distance to a hand at harvest.

Where is my wine kept?

In the tuffeau cellars of the estate, at the natural temperature and humidity of the stone. Your wine remains there, in your name, until you ask for it. Should you wish to receive bottles, we arrange shipping on your behalf.

Are there costs beyond the lease or purchase?

Farming, vinification, and cellar storage are accounted for within your arrangement. Where you ask for delivery, shipping, duties, and insurance are billed at cost and borne by you. There are no hidden charges.

May I visit, and can the holding pass to my family?

Yes to both. Fellows are welcome at the estate by appointment, and many choose to come at harvest. Ownership may be bequeathed, and a lease may be assigned, subject to a simple transfer.

How do I begin?

Send a private enquiry above, or write to contact@exquisvin.com. Our concierge will arrange a quiet conversation, with no obligation, to understand what you have in mind.
